Pre-Holiday Suggestions (ignore them at your peril!)

As we get closer to the Holidays, now is a good time to get yourself prepared for a gangbusting 2014 by making sure your vital online information is updated and securely recorded and kept in a safe, easy to access, place.

Your domain name(s). Do you have a hard copy of your original domain registration papers? Make sure you have the username, password and account numbers for each domain. Then go to the registrar and make sure all the contact information is accurate. Contact names, addresses and telephone numbers need to be kept current because if you ever need help with your domain name, you'll need the information to establish you as the true contact person. It is a nightmare to get help with your domain name if your contact information isn't spot on.

Are you an e-commerce marketer? Do you know anything about your SSL? If you don't, better get educated. You need to know who it is through, the credentials to access and update it, and the date when it expires.

Social Commerce

I had the privilege of hearing the owner of ModCloth (http://www.modcloth.com/) give a general overview of her company. One of their primary focuses is on social commerce, and the tight-knit community they have build around the brand. One of their core values is that they don't use models to show of their clothes, which helps foster more openness in their community.

Some of what they offer:

Launch of ShopBando.com

We are proud to help launch the new website for Ban.do (http://www.shopbando.com/). Ban.do is a Los Angelas based fashion design house, and they offer a wide range of unique items, from hair accessories to iphone cases. Many have been adourned and used by celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.

Their work has also been featured in over 100 of the top fashion and lifestyle magazines. You can view a sample of them at http://www.shopbando.com/press/celebrities.

Since launching on Sept. 10th, ShopBando.com has seen a 13% increase in the average order size. This early success is aligned with one of their goals of moving to the Drupal Commerce platform, to more easily present cross-sells and upsells.

We're excited to see where Ban.do goes next.
